Small lifting cage (also known as construction hoists or building lifting cages) are standardized safety lifting equipment designed specifically for construction sites. Their primary functions include vertical material transfer, storage of small tools, and the creation of temporary work platforms. Built around the core advantages of robustness, safety, and adaptability, they effectively address common challenges on construction sites, such as low efficiency, safety hazards, and complex working conditions. They are an essential piece of equipment for construction projects, bridge construction, and municipal renovation works, providing reliable support for safe and efficient operations.
Structural design for complex construction site scenarios
Construction lifting cages feature fully enclosed or semi-enclosed structures, with standard sizes including 1.2 × 0.8 × 1.5 m, 1.5 × 1.0 × 2.0 m, and other models. Custom non-standard sizes are also available, designed according to crane specifications and material dimensions, ensuring compatibility with various cranes and construction elevators.
The top of the cage is equipped with 2–4 high-strength lifting rings, symmetrically distributed and welded to the cage body to ensure even load distribution and stable vertical movement. Hinged protective doors with reinforced latch locks on the sides facilitate loading and unloading while preventing materials from falling during lifting. The bottom is reinforced with a thickened, anti-slip base plate and added edge protection to further stabilize materials and prevent slippage.


Heavy-duty materials and craftsmanship for durability
The cage is constructed from Q235B high-strength steel. The frame uses 6.0–10.0 mm thickened cold-rolled steel pipes, while the mesh panels are made from 4.0–6.0 mm high-strength steel wire. The structure is fabricated using a combination of automated precision spot welding and manual full welding, producing strong, uniform welds and a robust, impact-resistant structure capable of withstanding heavy collisions and high-altitude lifting.
Standard models have a rated load capacity of 500–2000 kg, suitable for carrying construction materials such as bricks, sand, cement, rebar, and small tools. The surface undergoes pickling, phosphating, rust removal, and powder coating (or anti-rust paint), delivering excellent corrosion, rust, and wear resistance. These treatments allow the cage to withstand harsh outdoor conditions-including wind, rain, and dust-extending its service life and reducing replacement costs.
